Gordon Lachance was born on 1947 (estimated) In Castle Rock, Oregon , he had an oldest brother 'Denny Lachance' who died on april 1959, gordie had never been noticed for anyone at home except for his brother Denny, but after his death things went worse than ever, so Gordie try to get from his friends the approval he doesn't get from his parents .
Gordie has a wonderful talent, he can create great stories, and the 'lardass' story is a proof of it, but this kid doesn't have the self-confidence he need to believe in himself, so his bestfriend Chris Chambers looks after him to make sure that he is making the most of his gift.
At the end of the movie Gordie becomes a writer and tells the story of one of his childhood journeys with his bestfriends, the story we know as 'Stand By Me'

Christopher Chambers was born in Castle Rock, Oregon, Chris' family was thought low-life by the people in the town, He had an oldest brother 'Eyeball Chambers' a punk, member of Ace Merill's gang. Chris stole the milk money in school once, but he tried to give it back, unfortunately the person he decided to give it, kept the money and Chris was branded a thief, but it's mainly because of his family reputation that he was also described as a delinquent,
His father was abusive and alcoholic, so Chris prefered to hang out with his friends, the ones he looked after and make sure they were ok. Chris wasn't the kind of kid that everyone in town thought he was, actually he was very wise and peacemaker, The kind of bestfriend everyone would like to have.
Chris took courses to attend college with Gordie, altough it was hard he gutted it out and went on to college, he eventually became a lawyer.
On tuesday, september 3, 1985 at 39 years of age (estimated) Chris entered a restaurant and two men ahead of him got into an argument, he attempted to break it up, but things didn't turn out good and he was fatally stabbed in the throat, he died almost instantly.
